What we email you about

Email is on by default for every workspace, grouped into eight categories:

Unsubscribing

Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link for its own category, and only that category. Turning off Runs emails does not touch Credits or Attention, and turning off Wins emails does not touch the brief. The client report category is per workspace, not per recipient: unsubscribing from a client report email stops client report emails for the whole workspace, for every recipient. The link opens a page with a confirm button. Opening the link alone does not unsubscribe you; nothing changes until you press confirm on that page. Account email cannot be unsubscribed from. It only ever fires for changes that affect what the agent is allowed to do without you, and we treat that as something every workspace owner needs to see. The Email switch under Settings → Notifications → Delivery turns off every email for the workspace at once, except Account email. An unsubscribe link only stops email. A message you also send to Slack keeps posting there until you switch Slack off for it; see Stopping a message.

Slack

Two messages can go to a Slack channel, as well as or instead of email:
  • The Monday note, the Monday edition of the morning brief. The daily editions are email only whatever you choose here, because a channel that hears from us every morning stops being read.
  • The win message, the same message as the Wins email.
Both post to one channel that you pick. Every other notification is email only. The Slack post says what the email says: the subject in bold, then every paragraph of the email in order, and the email’s link into Attensira when it has one. It has no unsubscribe line, because Slack is switched off in settings, not from a link.

Setting it up

Connect Slack

Open Customize → Connectors and connect Slack. The connection is per workspace.

Pick the channel

Under Settings → Notifications → Monday note, choose the Slack channel. The list shows the public and private channels the connection can see, with archived channels left out. A channel marked not a member does not have the Attensira app in it, and posts there fail: add the app to the channel in Slack, or pick another.

Choose where each message goes

Under Monday note and under Wins, switch Email, Slack or both.
A few rules hold the choice together:
  • Every message goes somewhere. You cannot switch off both Email and Slack for one message. Switching Slack off when it was the only place sends the message by email instead.
  • Slack needs a live connection. Slack can only be switched on, and a channel picked, while Slack is connected. Otherwise the settings refuse with “Slack is not connected for this workspace. Connect it in Customize → Connectors first.”
  • Slack and email are delivered separately. A Slack post that fails never holds up the email, and an email address that bounces does not stop the Slack posts.
  • Renaming the channel is fine. The channel is stored by its Slack id, so a renamed channel still receives the note.

What connecting Slack allows

Connecting Slack lets Attensira do two things in your Slack: read the names of your channels, so you can pick one, and post the Monday note and the win message to the channel you picked. Nothing else. The connection gives the agent no Slack tools. No run can read your Slack messages or post in your Slack workspace; the only posts are the messages you chose on this page.

If Slack disconnects

Slack can stop working for a workspace in a few ways: the connection is disconnected or revoked, the channel is archived, or the Attensira app is removed from the channel. In every case:
  • Your settings stay as they are. You can still change any other setting, including switching Slack off. When the connection itself is gone, Settings → Notifications says “Slack is not connected, so this is not reaching Slack.” under each message still set to Slack.
  • The email copy still goes, for a message that also goes by email. A message set to Slack only reaches nobody until Slack works again, so switch its email on if you need it in the meantime. While Slack is not connected, changing where a message goes also takes Slack off that message, so switch Slack back on for it once you reconnect.
  • One Inbox item asks you to fix it: “Reconnect Slack to keep getting the Monday note”. However many posts fail, it stays one item. It closes on its own when you reconnect Slack, or when the next post to the channel goes through.
What happens to the post that failed depends on the cause: If a post fails for any other reason on its last attempt, you get the same Inbox item.

Stopping a message

Unsubscribing from Brief stops every edition of the brief by email, daily and Monday.

If mail to you starts bouncing

A bounced delivery or a complaint marks your address undeliverable, and the app shows a banner until it is fixed. We do not keep retrying a broken address, and we do not silently drop you off the list either — the banner is there so you notice and correct it. This is about email only. Posts to your Slack channel carry on.

What we never email

Attensira never sends anything outreach-related on your behalf. When the agent drafts outreach, it creates the draft in your own Gmail or Outlook — see Inbox — so what goes out to a third party goes out from your account, under your review, never ours.
